Territory Manager – OLDS

Position works out of our Olds location

Title of this position reports to: Regional Sales Manager – North

Full-time, Permanent Position

Monday to Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.

Seasonal hours may apply.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To achieve targeted sales and inventory goals to generate retails required for profitable company growth. Position will effectively provide services that improve customer sales experience to expand Alberta AG Centres reach in the agricultural industry. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and utilize internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and achieve retail sales targets.
  • Develop, monitor and execute a territory management plan including timely and accurate submission retail forecasts, by customer, in Iron HQ and in alignment with overall Alberta AG Centre strategies.
  • Successfully determine and proactively communicate the best finance solution(s) for customers.
  • Continuously strengthen product and marketplace knowledge with training to improve sales results.
  • Deliver highly effective field demonstrations that exemplifies the products we sell. Attend, lead, and assist with farm shows, expert camps, and other Alberta AG Centre promotional activities.
  • Work with other employees / departments to ensure quality after-sales support meets customers’ needs effectively.
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location
  • Be an effective team member by participating in company team building events.

Note: The position includes up to 75% travel, with some Saturday and Sunday travel, meetings and/or work periodically required; valid driver’s license and passport is required.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepare periodic sales reports to include customer visits, quotes, demonstrations, lost sales, etc.

  • Participate in and/or lead dealer customer events such as workshops, farm shows, etc.
  • Assist in forecasting annual sales and budgeting for future years sales for assigned territory.
  • Provide support in used equipment sales.
  • Other tasks as assigned or required by management.
  • Keep accurate and timely vehicle logs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Diploma (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years’ sales experience at capital goods dealership level or experience in sales, marketing or distribution development capacity with capital goods manufacturer would be considered an asset.
  • Capital goods sales through 3rd party distribution channel background.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in B2C and B2B situations would be considered an asset.
  • Highly proven interpersonal skills.
  • Ambitious, independent, and self motivated with a passion to meet the customer needs.
  • Proficient computer use including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Experience in Iron HQ would be an asset. Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Parts Technician – Lougheed

Who We Are:

Hours of work:

Job Summary:

The Parts Technicians are responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the parts department including delivering optimal customer service and parts knowledge to internal (Sales and Service departments) and external customers. This position performs a variety of duties, including providing price quotations, checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers, verifying prices, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers to meet their parts needs in alignment with the company’s parts protocols and processes
  • Receive parts requests from customers in person, through the internal Order Confirmation Process, by phone or email and respond with a quote or information in a timely manner
  • Receive, provide, and issue purchase orders and receipts of goods
  • Research availability of parts, either within the facility or from other resources as necessary
  • Search part numbers using a computer or standard catalogue
  • Mark materials with identifying information to communicate parts allocations to service work orders
  • Maintain communication with Shipping/Receiving, suppliers and customers to ensure efficiency within the parts department
  • Complete all applicable inventory, work orders, PO’s, receipts of goods entry and put stock away
  • Participate in required inventory cycle counts and provide back-up support to other parts department employees as required
  • Process a variety of reports in written and electronic form (e.g., requisitions, paperwork, reports, etc.) to distribute information and/or materials to appropriate parties
  • Assist the Sales and Service Departments in scheduling by meeting regularly to communicate status of parts orders
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager
  • On-call coverage as required
  • Local travel required to pick up and deliver parts may be required

Job Summary:

The Service Manager/Shop Foreman is responsible for all Service-related tasks for the Lougheed location of Alberta AG Centre, such as managing the service shop and team, work closely with the other departments, and manage relationships with customers.

  • Journeyperson Parts Technician Certificate
  • 3-5 years in an Agriculture parts/and or service environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office
  • Mechanical aptitude or previous exposure to Agriculture parts
  • Utilize computer to research parts and technical information
  • Maintains current knowledge of company competitive products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals inside and outside of the organization.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties

Ag Mechanic – Coaldale, Crossfield, Lougheed, High River, Stettler, Dunmore – Alberta

WHO WE ARE:

Alberta AG Centre is a full-line CLAAS Dealership with locations in Coaldale, Dunmore. High River, Lougheed, Olds, and Stettler, Alberta. We offer the entire North American lineup of CLAAS agriculture equipment along with other great product lines to meet the demands of the Alberta Agriculture Industry. Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM w/ a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
  • Seasonal Overtime and on-call

Job Summary:

Agricultural mechanics are responsible for fixing tractors, combines and other farming implements. Often, mechanics use specialized skills and experience to locate and diagnose the machine’s problem and then generate a cost-effective solution. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter and enjoys a fun atmosphere. Desired Ag Service Technician candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment. Knowledge of, and/or experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical principles is preferred.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on equipment
  • Performs diagnosis and repair in the field as required
  • Supports customer clinics
  • Utilize computer to research parts and technical information

  • Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmen
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Registered in a ticketed trade or have a journeyman’s ticket in a relevant trade such as Heavy Equipment Technician or Agricultural Equipment Technician
  • Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following procedures
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Be available to work on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays during peak season
  • Be reliable
  • Have a valid driver’s license
