Director of Inventory – Performance and Optimization
Available Work Locations: Coaldale, Dunmore, High River, Lougheed, Olds, and Stettler
Title of this position reports to: Chief of Operations Officer
Full-time, Permanent Position
Monday to Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour unpaid lunch

Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Inventory Performance & Optimization to lead initiatives that enhance inventory efficiency across all dealership locations. This role will
focus on trade evaluations, inventory control, market analysis, and team training, while collaborating with internal departments and external partners to optimize performance.
Core Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of customer trade-ins and maintain accurate trade guides for internal reference
• Audit and refine internal codes and pricing structures to ensure consistency and competitiveness
• Monitor and report on inventory turnover for both new and used equipment
• Collaborate with CLAAS to develop and implement programs that accelerate unit movement
• Identify and leverage alternative channels for used equipment sales
• Analyze inventory trends to forecast future orders and optimize stock levels
• Partner with the Marketing team to design impactful advertising campaigns, promotions, and social media strategies
• Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to the Sales team
• Provide training and mentorship to Sales team members on trade evaluation processes, including field support for new hires
• Support customer clinics and other engagement initiatives
• Travel regularly to all locations to collaborate in person with the sales teams
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities as the role develops
Note: The position includes up to 75% travel, with some Saturday and Sunday travel, meetings and/or work periodically required; valid driver’s license and passport is required.
Competencies and Qualifications
• Diploma (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in agriculture sales or a similar role
• Expert knowledge of agricultural equipment and current market conditions
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Iron HQ/CDK considered an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations
• Education in business or related field considered an asset
• Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
